The colors and florals in the Perennial Lavender 12″ x 12′ Designer Series Paper (DSP) are absolutely gorgeous! I regret that I’ve not been able to really make more cards than I have with these beautiful prints! When the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog came out I knew I had to have this DSP along with the Perennial Postage Bundle. Then it was like . . . why stop there! LOL! The Purple Fine Shimmer Gems are brilliant in color and they do shimmer! I was able to get the Paper Butterfly Accents as well. Who doesn’t just love butterflies?! I’ll save that card for another blog post!
I actually made this card for my January Thank You gifts. The inside has a panel of Basic White which is left blank and I include an envelope as well. That way the recipient can either keep it or use it to express thanks to someone for whatever the reason may be. We all love it when someone takes the time to show their appreciation in some form or fashion.

Putting It All Together
I love this floral print!! Visit my online store to see a close up of all the patterns! Die cut the DSP and adhere it to the card base. I use the Multipurpose Glue. I’ve used many adhesives and this is my most favorite of glues! Cut the ribbon approximately 7″ long and double it over and then adhere it to your card. I actually used double stick tape to assist me in this endeavor! I wasn’t sure about this ribbon but in the end I decided it adds some texture to the card.
The sentiment from Perennial Postage Cling Stamp Set is stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I love how this adds dimension to the sentiment. Disclosure: Basics Embossing Powders have been discontinued at this time but Stampin’ Up! is working on a new vendor! You can use Mini Glue Dots or double stick tape to the sentiment label to the vellum. This stamp set has many useful sentiments! If you don’t have a stamping tool, you can use either clear blocks D and H but I find that H is most useful!
Place Stampin’ Dimensionals appropriately on the backside of the vellum so that is outside of the ribbon but not exposed through the clear vellum. Cut the dimensionals in half if necessary if you don’t have the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. See all products in the Product Table!
It’s amazing how lighting affects the colors in my two card pictures! Lastly pick out three Lost Lagoon gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack to add that extra special something to the front of the card. This three pack of gems also includes Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia. It has 150 adhesive-backed pieces, which includes 4mm and 5mm gem sizes. I used one 4mm and two 5mm gems on my card. Personally I like a bit of bling or shimmer added to my cards.
