Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit is just that . . . SWEET! Once again another great kit that allowed me to create some alternative cards using other Stampin’ Up! cardstock that coordinates such as Petal Pink and Garden Green. I also used the Add-On item that coordinates with the Jan • Feb • Mar Paper Pumpkin Kits for a sentiment label and additional Daffodil stem that I cut the flower head off and attached the Daffodil die cut from the kit onto the flower stem. NOTE: You must be a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber to purchase the quarterly add on items!

If you are looking for a hobby but don’t want to invest a lot of money, I would highly recommend subscribing to the monthly Paper Pumpkin or purchase a pre-paid to give it a whirl! The monthly subscriptions come automatically to your door each month unless you want or need to skip a month and you can cancel anytime. Also Stampin’ Up!’s Kits Collections are great for beginners as some require no stamping! Kits are great for those who may not have a lot of crafting room and/or don’t want to invest a lot in supplies.

The supplies image above is the actual refill kit that is now available for purchase but once again, you must be a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber! The actual kit supplies included a photopolymer stamp set (6 stamps total) and Early Espresso Stampin’ Spot, which the refill will not have.

Alternate Paper Pumpkin Cards

I made the original card as intended but I cut the other two card bases apart. I made three cards using Basic White and Garden Green cardstock as the card bases.

I cut the first bunny panel down to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ then adhered the die cut frame from the kit to it using the glue dots. Only used three Daffodil die cut flowers on the bottom and popped them up with dimensionals. Add the stamped sentiment label and embellishments. Done! Note: Try not to cover up the other pretty flowers at the bottom.

The second card panel is cut down to 4″ x 5-1/4″. I made a Garden Green frame using the Perennial Postage Dies (Jan-Apr 2024 Mini). Then I used two Daffodil die cut flowers from the kit and popped them up with dimensionals. The bottom Daffodil stem is a die cut from the Daffodil Flower die that is part of the coordinating add on item. I cut the flower head off and used the Daffodil flower from the kit. Stamp the sentiment directly onto the card, add the embellishments provided and another cute card is done!

My third card uses the die cut frame from the kit. I did cut off the middle flower stem off the bottom before adhering it to the Garden Green card base with glue dots. I used one of the bunny/chic die cuts and placed it into the frame using one glue dot behind the bunny head. Once again, pop up three Daffodils with dimensionals and add a twine bow to the bunny. I selected certain flower shapes for this card. The retired sentiment is stamped onto one of the Nested Essentials Dies and popped up with dimensionals as well as the one Daffodil flower hanging off the upper corner. I finished this card with white embellishments and added a twine bow to the bunny. Simply cute!
More Alternate Paper Pumpkin Cards

I used the back side of the original bunny card for these two cards. LOVE gingham check! For this card, I used Petal Pink for the card bases. Popped up the wreath with dimensionals as well as the sentiment label. I used Hello, Friend from Hope You Know Cling Stamp Set (Annual Catalog 2023-2024) for the sentiment. The sentiment label is from the Nested Essentials Dies. Tied a twine bow and added it to the wreath. I may add some of the white embellishments to this card as I have a lot of them left! I totally love this card because it’s simply sweet!

Another simply sweet card alternative! The back side panel (the gingham check) is cut down to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Adhere to Petal Pink card base or even Basic White. I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White card stock and used sentiment label die from the coordinating add-on item. Then I popped up it up and the bunny/chic die cut with dimensionals and added a twine bow and white embellishments. This turned out simply cute!
More Cards and Treat Boxes

I love that there were slimline sized cards included with this kit. Perhaps I could have cut some of these card bases apart as well included the envelopes to make even more alternative cards but I didn’t. Isn’t that middle card just too cute!! I used some of the Daffodil flower heads for this card. So much cuteness to see here!

I know some of you cut the cute treat boxes apart to make alternative cards or projects but I did not. However I did add twine bows to the bunnies! I have more than enough white embellishments to add to these cute boxes once I fill them with some goodies! Then I will add the twine to the tops to finish them up. NOTE: I used retired linen thread (twine) to do all the bows on the bunnies to make sure I had enough twine from the kit for the treat boxes.
