Bouquet of Hope – Paper Pumpkin Kit February 2021

I’m always excited to receive my Paper Pumpkin Kit each month! Although this kit is no longer available, if you subscribe by March 10th you’ll receive the March 2021 – Here’s To You – Paper Pumpkin Kit. ALSO you would then be able to purchase the REFILL KIT for the February 2021 Bouquet of Hope as a NEW SUBSCRIBER to Paper Pumpkin! Here are the items in the refill kit (see below image) which will NOT include the exclusive photopolymer stamp set or the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Spot. You can always buy the full size Classic Stampin’ Pad in Mossy Meadow or even buy Uninked Stampin’ Spots (pack of 5) and buy a Stampin’ Ink Refill in Mossy Meadow. That’s the beauty of Stampin’ Up! products, you can pick and choose the way you want to build your ink collection! If you’ll notice in the main image (above), you could actually use other stamp sets for your sentiments to stamp the two different sized labels. I’ll have an example to show you later in this post.

For more information about this particular kit see my previous post HERE! The refill kit is still available which is only $10.00 Item #156917 but you must be a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin to purchase refills/kits. Watch my unboxing video so you can see all the goodies in this box plus I share information about how Paper Pumpkin works. Now remember, I’m still new to making videos so if you leave me a comment, be nice! LOL!

My February 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Bouquet of Hope – arrived earlier this week. As soon as it arrived, unfortunately I needed to send a sympathy card to a friend who lost her sister this past Sunday. Here is the card as it is meant to be made from the kit. I assure you the picture doesn’t do it justice!

What’s great about the Paper Pumpkin Kits is that you don’t have to make the cards exactly as they are shown. You can change things such as the stamped image, use different embellishments, change the card layout and so on. Some kits through the year will actually be 3-D projects or perhaps even a home decor item! My husband’s cousin is having a birthday next week, as well as my husband and their birthdays are on the same day. So for his cousins birthday, I changed the sentiment using a different stamp set that I earned for FREE from Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration (SAB) which ends this Sunday, February 28. See more information regarding SAB below! The stamp set I used is A Touch Of Ink. It is one of my favorites! I love Hummingbirds and Butterflies! See it in the product table below! Note: It’s in Level 2 so you would have to spend $100 in product (before shipping/taxes) to EARN this particular stamp set.

I haven’t made the other cards in this kit as of yet but I can’t wait to do so! Also as a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber, you’ll receive a monthly newsletter that includes an unboxing video of latest kit (see below video), alternate projects, coordinating products, and refill/past kits (if available).

Speaking of kits, let me move onto March 2021 – Here’s To You Paper Pumpkin Kit. Subscribe for your monthly subscription HERE by March 10 or purchase a prepaid Paper Pumpkin Subscription (see product table) to get this kit. The March kit is a celebration kit that marks Paper Pumpkin’s 7th Birthday in March. This kit will include a FREE GIFT as well! View more details about this kit and subscribing to Paper Pumpkin from my earlier blog post HERE, plus I talk about it in my YouTube video that is in today’s post! You’ll not want to miss out on this great kit! Who doesn’t love FREE STUFF?! Plus with this kit, I’ll get to try out a new technique using these four stencils (each one is 4″ x 4″) and Stampin’ Sponge.

It’s All In Good Taste To CASE!

No! You are NOT seeing double! LOL! I needed to create a masculine birthday card for my son-in-law, Jon, and my husband’s Uncle Marvin. Their birthdays are on the same day! I don’t know why but I struggle with creating masculine cards. I knew that I wanted to use In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) but I turned to my Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog for some inspiration. WELL . . . on page 122 I found it! Literally! I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the Note Card “YOU ARE THE BEST” but I wanted it to be a regular card size so I tweaked it and made it my own, so to speak. Some will say they could never create a card because they don’t have the creativity or talent but one of the beauties about creating cards, you can find inspiration in many places and even CASE from someone’s card but always give credit where credit is due! Here is the card I CASEd . . . don’t you just love that TEXTURE!

I just love this card but I absolutely LOVE the texture of ALL the papers in the In Good Taste DSP pack. Click on the product in the table below to see a close up of all the different designs this pack has to offer.

As I mentioned before, this card is a Note Card size so I tweaked it a bit and made it a regular card size. This card uses the Tasteful Touches Bundle, which you save 10% when buying bundles. You can buy the stamp set and die separately but who doesn’t love to bundle for a 10% Discount?!

I couldn’t decide what solid colored cardstock to use so I tried two different colors, Gray Granite and Sarah Sand. I embossed the smaller strip of solid color with the Sublte 3D Embossing Folder. I didn’t have the same embellishments in the CASEd picture so I used what I had on hand, Metallic Pearls which comes with both Silver and Gold (121 pearls in each color). Here’s a close up . . .

CARD DETAILS

  • Card Base | Basic White Thick Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ | Scored at 4-1/4″
  • Solid panel cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ | Gray Granite or Sarah Sand
  • In Good Taste DSP panel 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
  • Solid strip 1″ x 3-1/4″ | Embossed
  • Basic White Cardstock for sentiment 1-1/2″ x 3-1/4″| Die cut
  • Stamp the little blocks image with VersaMark onto the DSP | Emboss with White Emboss Powder
  • Adhere panels onto card base | I used the Tombow Multipurpose Glue
  • Stamp sentiment | Early Espresso
  • Pop up sentiment label with dimensionals | NOTE: keep them to the left side of label.
  • OPTIONAL: add Gold Metallic Pearls | I used five pearls

Click on the product(s) below for details and shop my online store!

NOTES:

  • You don’t have to use Basic White Thick Cardstock for your base. You can use just Basic White. Normally if add panels, I don’t use the thicker cardstock but in this case I did for that more masculine feel.
  • I added the Neutrals 8-1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock in the product table as it has 20 sheets, 2 each of 10 colors which includes the Sarah Sand and Gray Granite.
  • You don’t have to have the embossing folder but I love that extra bit of texture on this card. The card in the catalog uses Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder which you can see HERE. Hummmm . . . why don’t I have that particular embossing folder?! LOL!

Sweet Valentine & Tasteful Touches!

Don’t you just LOVE my card?! I know my SWEET HUBBY will love it! Slim Line cards are all the rage these days so I jumped onto that band wagon! This is my very first Slim Line card and I’m sure it won’t be my last. I am tickled PETAL PINK how my card turned out! LOL! When I brainstorm a card design, I pick out a few things I know that I want to use. In this case it was the heart and the “Love you” stamp from the January 2021 Sending Hearts Paper Pumpkin Kit plus the left over heart embellishments. Do you see them inside the heart?

I used my last large heart embellishment under the sentiment, which is from the Tasteful Touches Cling Stamp Set. I LOVE the coordinating Tasteful Labels Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Dies. You can buy the stamp set and dies separately or buy them as a bundle and SAVE 10%.

I also knew that I wanted to use Poppy Parade and Petal Pink. January 2021 Sending Hearts Paper Pumpkin Kit included a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Spot and Petal Pink was one of the coordinating colors in the kit. I used the heart stamp for the focal image and to also create my own DSP (Designer Series Paper), which is so simple to do. I just stamped onto Petal Pink cardstock using the heart stamp. My card base is Poppy Parade. By the way, what do you think about how I did the ribbon? I struggled on how I was going to utilize ribbon as I don’t have a lot of current ribbon on hand. The only current white ribbon I have is Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon so that is what I used on my card. Then I had to figure out how I wanted to do the ribbon. I came up with loops! What do you think?!

Taking pictures of my cards are a real struggle as I fight for natural light! There are no windows in my Hobby Nook. Our home has a lot of windows but we sit at a diagonal of the sunrise and sunset.

I used a sentiment from Daisy Lane Cling Stamp Set on my inside panel. By the way, you can use other stamps such as the Always In My Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set for the focal heart image. You can see it in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog #154337 page 12 $18.00. Check it out! You can download the catalog from the right side of my blog! Purchase $75 in product (before shipping/taxes) before the end of March and you’ll receive the NEW 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Our current annual catalog ends May 3, 2021.

CARD DETAILS

  • Poppy Parade Base 7-1/2″ x 9″ | Score at 3-3/4″
  • Basic White Panel 5″ x 3-3/4″
  • Petal Pink Panel 1″ x 3-3/4″
  • Basic White Inside Panel 8-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
  • Heart images stamped in Petal Pink
  • Sentiments stamped in Poppy Parade | Use Clear Blocks or Stamparatus for stamping.
  • Add Embellishments
  • Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon | 4-3/4″ strip dove tailed & enough to create 6 continuous loops. Tip: I just used a long strip of scotch tape to secure the loops on back of label. The I added the strip to go straight across.
  • Pop up main sentiment die cut label with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Add panels using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It’s more forgiving to situate the panels into place on the card base.
  • I would love to know what you think about my Slim Line card! Please leave me a comment!

Simple & Stepped Up Snow Front Cards!

I LOVE to make SIMPLE cards that have just a bit of WOW to them! I believe that anyone can create a card. If you are a beginner, you could definitely create this card. This is a super EASY card that even you can do! Using the Stamparatus tool truly makes projects like this go much quicker with precision stamping but you can also just use the Acrylic Clear Blocks.

Evidently I mailed my stepped up card that I used Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to my dad without getting a picture of it before doing so! I don’t have time to replicate it at this point but you’ll see it in my video. The difference between these two cards, other than using 3 different colors, is that I added a coordinating card base to match the pond (or lake). It’s still a simple card with just a bit more appeal.

I’m still VERY NEW to doing videos so please bear with me when you are watching! After I’ve done a video and watch the replay, I am my own worse critic!

CARD MAKING DETAILS

  • Stamp Sets: Snow Front Photopolymer Stamp Set & Celebrate Sunflowers Cling Stamp Set
  • Cardstock:
    • Whisper White Thick 8-1/2” X 5-1/2” Base – Scored at 4-1/4” (NOW BASIC WHITE! SEE INFORMATION AT BOTTOM OF POST!)
  • Ink Pads:
    • Misty Moonlight – Pond (or Lake)
    • Gray Granite – Upper Mountains
    • Early Espresso – Deer
    • Soft Suede – Sentiment for outside/inside
    • Crumb Cake – Lower Mountains
    • Shaded Spruce – Trees
    • Cherry Cobbler – Little Bird
  • Tools: Stamparatus (or use Acrylic Clear Blocks), Bone Folder, Stampin’ Trimmer, Simply Shammy

For the stepped up version(s), I added a coordinating cardstock for the base that matches the pond. I then decided to use Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to add some glitter to the mountain for a snow effect. I also switched out the Misty Moonlight, Shaded Spruce, and Cherry Cobbler to Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow, and Merry Merlot. With doing that you might as well add on Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray and buy the Neutrals Classic Stampin’ Pad Bundle!

Just a Note: You can use regular Basic White Cardstock verses Thick when just doing a front panel on a colored cardstock base.

Click on the product(s) below for details and shop my online store!

OOPS! If you do the stepped up version then you’ll need an adhesive to adhere your front panel to your card base. Stampin’ Seal #152813 or TomBow Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue #110755. The TomBow glue is more forgiving which allows you to position certain items a bit easier into place. Either one will work great though!

It’s a New Year and New Mini & SAB!

Well I have certainly been in hiatus since November 10! I didn’t realize it had been that long since I had posted to my blog. It’s time for me to get back into the swing of things around here! I can share all kinds of reasons for the lack of posting but honestly, I just couldn’t get myself on track. I’ve made cards and I’ve even done several videos that I didn’t upload to my YouTube Channel because I felt they were not good enough to share. I think that I just need to quit over thinking things, letting myself get overwhelmed with all the ideas and/or thinking that it’s a wasted effort as I don’t really have any subscribers to my blog. Well, I do but I have less than 20 subscribers for which I’m thankful for each and every one of you! Having said all of that, if I’m not blogging with some consistency then I’m to blame for my own failure as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Actually I’ve NOT tried very hard to share what I love about Stampin’ Up! products or sharing my creations. That really needs to change this year! I need to do a MUCH better job putting myself out there as well so I hope you’ll bear with me.

Speaking of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I’ve NEVER been a PUSHY direct sales person and that is okay. NO ONE likes a pushy person! I signed up to be a SU Demo for the instant 20% savings that I get as a demonstrator, not to mention that I get to see up coming promotions and the opportunity to buy products before the public. Speaking of the instant 20% savings, I believe I have promoted to Bronze Elite and my instant saving will go up to 25% savings! That would be AWESOME! I won’t know until the January 6 if I made it. I LOVE creating with ALL Stampin’ Up! products and you just can’t beat the quality and the coordination between products which includes inks, card stock, embellishments and not to mention stamp sets, dies, and punches! Hang in there with me here as I will be sharing more about how you, too, can be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and why it’s a GREAT time to sign up! Okay let’s move on because it that time for . . .

The NEW January-June 2021 Mini Catalog (JJ) is here and that means it’s also Sale-A-Bration (SAB) time! If you have placed an order with me in the last 6 months, you should have received your Mini Catalog & SAB Brochure by now. If not, please let me know.

Watch this short little video to get a peek inside!

During Sale-A-Bration, beginning TODAY, both Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and customers can earn FREE products. For every $50 and $100 you spend (before tax and shipping), you can choose between two purchasing levels of FREE products. Who doesn’t love FREE stuff?!

ALSO during SAB time, it’s a GREAT TIME to JOIN Stampin’ Up! as a Demonstrator! Consider joining my team, The Sweet Inkers! Being a demonstrator definitely has its perks! Sneak Peek from On Stage!

I had to pleasure to attend this years On Stage event along with over 10,000 other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Although it was a virtual event, hence the name OnStage@Home, it was a lot of fun to be able to participate. It was AWESOME getting a SNEEK PEEK at the upcoming products in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog! My card above is one of the cards that I was able to make along with the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, which was one of the many presenters. This part of the event was called Stamp & Share Experience. I opted to buy Dandy Garden Project Collection (Jan-Jun Mini Catalog products) prior to the event. Attendees were provided with a list of items (suggested alternate items were included) needed along with measurements to be able to join in and make cards along with the presenter. I’m sorry to admit that I do not have the SU Demo’s name so I can give her credit for her design. I like to give credit where credit is due! I truly love the layout and design of her card. Here it is without the punched dragonflies . . .

There are THREE different types of card makers and/or scrapbookers or just crafters in general: Beginner, Casual, and Avid. This card style is what I would call SIMPLE and for a beginner. BTW, I love simple cards! Adding the punched little dragonflies simply adds a bit more to the card which would appeal to a casual card maker. But what about adding some embellishments onto those little butterflies?! That would definitely step it up a bit more which would definitely appeal to an Avid crafter.

The beauty of making cards is that you can make them as simple as you want or you can step them up by adding just a bit more or a lot more! Regardless of the type of crafter you are, Stampin’ Up! products certainly makes it easy and fun when it comes to creating! Plus I love how Stampin’ Up! makes it SO EASY to coordinate between inks, ribbons, papers, embellishments . . . you really need to check out ALL their products! Be sure to visit my online store at https://tonyadenton.stampinup.net to see it ALL!

Speaking of products . . . this was my before prep for the Stamp & Share Experience. LOOK at all the 6″ x 6″ Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper! Love that paper! This DSP also coordinates with another stamp set that will also be available in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog (JJ 2021).

I have my products grouped for each project (below) that was demonstrated by three different presenters! I’m sorry that I don’t have my other two cards to share at this time.

If you want to see a close up of the products from the Dandy Garden Project Collection that I was able to pre-order, visit this LINK. Remember these items are NOT available until the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog goes live in January.

Swag Box & Product Reveal!

I’m attending OnStage@Home this year! It’s a virtual OnStage event this year so that means I’ll be attending but in the comfort of my Hobby Nook at home! OnStage provides inspiration and recognition for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. I chose to attend this year (my first time) so I’m excited!

What does that mean for me as a demonstrator? Well . . . I’m so glad you asked! I get to see new products in action from the upcoming January–June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure. There will be lots of stamping and business presentations, plus I’ll receive messages from the home office, as well as the chance to virtually network with other demonstrators and Stampin’ Up! staff. I’m looking forward to this event and the motivation I’m sure I’ll receive by attending!

I’m working on doing videos and this is a CHALLENGE for me! I TRULY have a whole new appreciation for those who do videos! With that being said, I created TWO videos to share with you. The first one is me revealing what I received in my Swag Box prior to Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage@Home event. People, I LOVE the bag not to mention the other goodies that were inside!

This second video is me sharing the Dragonfly Garden Collection that won’t be available until the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. Although it’s currently not available for purchase, I wanted to share a sneak peak of these delightful goodies!

Remember that the Dragonfly Garden Collection isn’t available until the mini catalog goes live in January 2021. Here are some more images . . .

This isn’t my normal format of posting as I don’t have a card to share. I actually do have a card to share and I’ve even done a video so stay tuned! Actually, I’ve done several videos but haven’t shared them as of yet. I’m finding it difficult letting go . . . in other words, just let go and post the videos as none of them are going to be PERFECT! This is my challenge going forward regarding creating and sharing videos. Please pray for me! LOL!

Thank you for reading my post and hopefully you watched my two videos! Now I’ve got to get ready for tonight’s Recognition Event, which by the time you read this post I would have already watched it! Pat Benetar (yes you heard right!) is the headlining entertainment to kick off this year’s OnStage@Home Virtual Event! That just tells me it will be a “rocking” event! LOL! Friday (now today) is the General Session and Stamp & Share Experience then Saturday is another all day event with different presentations to watch, learn, and receive inspiration and motivation!
