As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I receive Weekly Updates on Tuesday’s from Stampin’ Up!, which also includes a Succeed Weekly section. This past Tuesday it spot lighted a technique that I had not done in ages called Clear Block Stamping. I’ll include the SU image below that I shared this past Wednesday (I think) on my So Inking Sweet Facebook page that I used for illustration. Clear Block Stamping is not only a FUN technique but SUPER EASY! I first created a card that wasn’t layered (see below), it was just the card base and I stamped on it. This is to show you that you don’t need a lot of supplies to do this technique. Then I stepped my card up by layering a front panel onto coordinating card stock (see above). Either way the recipient will LOVE receiving snail mail that is a specially crafted card just for them!
I’m not great at taking pictures and I do not have good natural lighting but believe me when I say that these cards look so much better in person! Did you notice the difference in the block stamping in the above picture? Notice how much better it looks on the left card? Watch my video as I not only explain but show you how to get better coverage when Clear Block Stamping. Perhaps NOT! My video has been unsuccessful uploading to my YouTube not once but three times now. UGH! It’s 11:58pm (June 24) so I’m throwing in the towel. With that being said, hopefully it will work out tomorrow so I can post it! It’s a disappointment that I’m posting without my video so you can see how to do this technique! Plus I struggle making myself do videos! Fingers crossed it will upload tomorrow, which is actually now today (June 25). So stay tuned!
