Biggest Wish Birthday Card

Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp Set is very versatile! There are so many different ways you can use the different sentiments in either “ALL CAPS” or “lower cursive” (see Product Table). Speaking of “Biggest Wish” . . . I WISH you could see this card in person! I WISH I could take better pictures! I WISH you could see the that both “HAPPY” and “birthday” are both embossed! I WISH you could see the balloons sparkling as I applied Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to all of them! Well I can grant the last two wishes by including a close up for you below. But before I continue, the inspiration for my card today is from Freshly Made Sketches and Festive Friday. What better way to get started creating with not one but two inspirations to get my creativity flowing!

Card Challenges

Freshly Made Sketches – Celebrating 600th Card Challenge!

Congratulations to Freshly Made Sketches on reaching this milestone! My participation with Freshly Made Sketches started back in May 2012 #FMS33. That’s the earliest data I can find! I’m happy to be getting to participate with #FMS600 layout sketch! I love starting out with a layout from Freshly Made Sketches! Festive Friday Card Challenge

Festive Friday Card Making and Paper Crafting Challenge offers a Theme and an Inspiration List with 10 items. You only have to select THREE ITEMS to participate plus you don’t have to go with the theme. I chose: Pastel Colors, Pearls, and Texture. By the way, I’ve been participating with Festive Friday (albeit off and on) for many, many years as well! Putting It All Together

Start by prepping your cardstock and DSP. I chose Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I wanted pastel colors and so I selected the striped pattern that has various colors of stripes. The strip I cut has Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath, and Petal Pink so those are my pastel colors. “HAPPY” is embossed with White Emboss Powder and “birthday” is embossed with Clear Emboss Powder. I stamped “birthday” a couple of times with Bubble Bath Stampin’ Pad before embossing. Use the 2″ Circle Punch (Online Exclusive Product) to punch out “HAPPY” and fussy cut “birthday”.

Place card elements on top of the Basic White panel to get a feel where to stamp the other images. When using photopolymer stamps, I use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat #126199 under my cardstock when I don’t use a stamping tool. I forgot to include this in my Product Table so click on the product name. I used the double balloon image from Days to Remember Photopolymer Stamp Set. Stamp the balloons in Bubble Bath and Petal Pink Stampin’ Pads. I stamped them twice but don’t worry, although the ink may seem a bit dark when stamped, it will lighten up!

Stamp the balloon strings using Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Pad. I thought stamping the balloon strings would be hard but it’s not, it’s getting the stings onto the acrylic block that gave me fits! LOL!

Next stamp the little x’s using Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Pad. I wasn’t sure about adding these little x’s but I’m glad I did! Using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder helped me to make that decision. It was like adding a bit of graffiti to a wall!

Remove the card elements and run the stamped Basic White panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. Then adhere the striped DSP panel using Multipurpose Glue. Adhere panel to Fresh Freesia Card Base. Next pop up the sentiments with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. You can also cut the regular sized dimensionals in half in place of using the mini’s. Add Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to all the balloons!

Once again, I wish you could see my card in person! It turned out really nice! I’d love to hear what you think about my card! Leave me a comment if you have time to do so! Thanks!
