Thank You Cards Dressed in Polka Dots!

2016.4.19_thank_you_cards

These cards are SO EASY to make!! Before I continue, I have to share the fact that I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator’s post who was also inspired by someone else who gave her a card. See how it works? We all inspire each other when it comes to creativity and support. I like to give credit where credit is due so be sure to check out Jessica Taylor at inkitupwithjessica.com. I love the simplicity of Jessica’s cards which is right up my ally! I think most of us like simplicity with a bit of WOW to our cards!

I have about a dozen demonstrators that I follow and believe me, I’m a “little fish” in the Stampin’ Up! world compared to these demonstrators! I’m thankful for the inspiration I receive by simply being a “follower”. I learn so much from others. Basically you could call my cards CASEd today. What is CASEd? This means you are not recreating someone’s card in its entirety . . . you are taking one or more elements (colors, layout, stamp set, embellishments, technique) and creating your own card with that inspiration. My cards today are the latter . . .

Supply List

The first card with the bigger dots and the “Thank You” stamped in Black was made from retired Polka Dots Designer Series Paper. I used Pumpkin Pie. Other colors in that set includes Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Real Red, and Rich Razzelberry. So if you have these papers, use them!! I also used a Basic Pearl in the little black punched center of the flower. That punch is retired but you could use the little flower from the Tree Builder.

The second card with the little dots and the “Thank You” stamped in orange was made from retired Designer Series Paper in Tangerine Tango.

I don’t have ALL the current items to show case on my blog! I’ve been a Hobbyist Demonstrator for several years but started buying Stampin’ Up! products starting in 2008. Although I would LOVE to use ALL CURRENT products, sometimes I may have to use something I have on head and make substitution suggestions as I have in the supplies. i.e. Brights Designer Series Paper!
