April 2025 Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit allowed me to create stunning cards with hand-painted, alcohol ink designs! This kit arrived in a beautiful coordinating box! Perfect for gift giving the kit to a crafter or make the cards then package them up in the coordinating box!
These cards (above) are made exactly how they were intended to be made. The card bases were so beautiful that I cut most of them apart to make alternate designed cards using coordinating Stampin’ Up! cardstock and ink, as well as some embellishments.
This kit made 9 cards with 9 matching envelopes. I did not take my envelopes apart as some crafters do to make even more cards but I did make a total of 16 cards! As with all Paper Pumpkin kits (PPKits), you receive everything you need (including a stamp set and ink spot) to complete the projects as intended, and usually there are left over supplies as you’ll see on one of my alternate cards that I made for my granddaughter, Theä!
Alternate Paper Pumpkin Cards
SET ONE

Starting with the first original card design, I cut the other two card bases in half. Then I cut them down again to 5-1/4″ x 4″ and adhered them to coordinating cardstock, Gorgeous Grape and Calypso Coral (above cards). Notice that I used the coordinating die, Hug Abloom Die Set. You must be a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber to be able to purchase these dies. I embossed the sentiment on the second card.
Coordinating embellishments were added to each card to make them extra special! These are listed in the Product Table below. The sentiments are stamped in coordinating colors. Speaking of . . . the ‘birthday wishes’ stamp is from Simply Said Photopolymer Stamp Set, which carried over into the NEW 2025-2026 Annual Catalog. I use this stamp set a lot because of all the different sentiments it has!

SET TWO
Once again I used coordinating cardstock and ink, die cuts from Hugs Abloom Die Set, and a stamped label that is part of the kit supplies. I used Berry Burst and Pool Party cardstock for die cuts and card bases, not to mention Basic White as well. The sentiment for the first card is from The Right Words Cling Stamp Set that is NEW in the annual catalog. It has GREAT sentiments! I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up all my sentiment labels.

Don’t be fooled! The first card above may look like the design intended but I stamped ‘BIRTHDAY’ (from a previous PPKit) directly onto the card AFTER I had popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I nearly ALWAYS use a stamping tool that allows me precise stamping! Then I added the butterflies as well. I used leftover gold sequins from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and added them to the middle card but you could use Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments, which I’ll list in my Product Table below.
At this point you know I used die cuts once again from the Hugs Abloom Die Set for the last card. And yes, I have Gorgeous Grape leaves! Guess what I added to the middle of die cut flower? You guessed right if you thought of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush! I’ve also added clear glitter to the butterflies. I think it’s perfect for a young girl in her tweens or teenage years.
SET THREE

Once again, I cut card bases apart to make more cards by adhering these two to Pool Party card bases. Using the ‘hugs’ die from the Hugs Abloom Die Set, I used Berry Burst cardstock and then adhered it to Basic White cardstock. I fussy cut around it and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as well as the other stamped sentiment. I LOVE the delicate die cut flowers on these card fronts!

The last card base made two more cards! The middle card is for my granddaughter, Theä. I used some floral adhesive die cuts from a previous Paper Pumpkin, which really made me smile! The ‘hugs’ is die cut from Basic White and Pool Party. I die cut two Pool Party so I have three layers. I offset the white die cut as you can see in the close up image above. That is what you call the Eclipse Technique! Both sentiment labels are popped up. Simple cards and simply pretty!
Alternate Card Made of Scraps

This is the last card I made using scraps and is a side fold. I created this card from paper scraps left after cutting some some of the card bases down. I adhered the strips to Basic White and then cut the panel down and adhered it to Pool Party. The card base is Berry Burst and I think you can figure out the rest. Seriously, I love how this kit helped me to make some really pretty cards!
Quarter Two Add-On Hugs Abloom Dies

To order the add-on dies that coordinate with Paper Pumpkin kits, you must be a subscriber! I love that with there is a die set each quarter that coordinates with three Paper Pumpkin kits. It’s another way to help further your creativity!
Did You Know?
Did you know that Stampin’ Up! offers TWO sizes of die cut machines? There is the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Mini Machine. Check them both out on page 80 in the new catalog or click on them below for more information. All add-on dies that coordinate with the Paper Pumpkin kits will work with the Mini machine. Or go for the big guns and get the standard size machine to do it ALL!
