It’s a Throwback Thursday kind of day! I needed a baby card and I looked all the way back to 2011 and found this Baby Carriage Card. Actually I put my own spin on this particular card (above) by having three panels on the front before placing the two panel image/sentiment piece. I first made this baby card at a Stampin’ Up! Workshop prior to becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I don’t know who to give the actual credit to for the design but I can share what products I used and how to make it. The products may be retired but you can use your imagination with other products for this card layout. I really like my card with the three patterned paper pieces the best but it may because of the polk-a-dots in the patterned paper and the baby carriage! See original card layout below.
Putting It All Together
I’m sure you can visualize different colors and patterns that you can use to create this card layout for any card. My card base is Regal Rose topped with a panel of Pretty In Pink. The pattern paper is part of the Designer Series Paper Brights Collection from the 2011-2012 Annual Catalog. Use whatever adhesive you’d like but I normally use Stampin’ Up!’s Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It allows me to maneuver my card pieces into place more easily. It really depends on what I’m doing that determines which adhesive I reach for in my craft room.
Before you place the Pretty In Pink onto the card base, add the three panels of patterned paper to this panel FIRST! Then cut 13″ of Pretty In Pink ¼” Grosgrain Ribbon to tie around it and make a knotted bow. Now you can adhere this to the card base. Use Basic White cardstock to stamp the baby carriage from the Fun & Fast Notes Stamp Set (wood mount). Yes, it’s been retired for some time! LOL! I used Regal Rose and Pretty In Pink Stampin’ Write Markers to add more color to the baby carriage. One thing I haven’t added yet but I will, Clear Wink of Stella (see close up pic below)! You know I LOVE that stuff!! Add stamped image onto Regal Rose cardstock and pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cardstock Measurements
- Regal Rose Card Base – 8-½” x 5-½“ | Score 4-¼”
- Regal Rose Panel – 2-½” x 2-¾”
- Pretty In Pink Panel – 4” x 5-¼”
- Basic White Sentiment Label – 2-¼” x 2-½”
- Basic White Inside Panel – 4” x 5-¼”
- Designer Series Paper – Cut 2 panels, each 3-¾” x 2” & 1 panel 3-3/4″ x 1″
- I used the back side of the same DSP for the center panel.
- IF only using 2 panels (as below) – 3-¾” x 2-½”

The original baby card I made way back in 2011 only used 2 panels of the Brights Collection Designer Series Paper. I did go back and add Clear Wink of Stella to the baby carriages! I couldn’t help myself! Notice the tiny heart in the baby carriage image?! So SWEET!
Personal Note
I can’t tell you how many cards I actually make that I never share on my blog or Facebook. A lot of times I end up using items that are retired or I didn’t make the time to share the ones with all current products. PLUS I really don’t have an excuse not to blog now since we now have GREAT INTERNET, which makes all the difference in the world! Thank you Starlink! We can even STREAM movies now! Just so you know, we live out in the woods away from it all. Our daughter, Tenaya, said, “Welcome to the 21st Century mom!” LOL! The pains of not having high speed internet and being throttled back once we hit our peak of usage really hindered my ability to blog for years! I really have no excuse now! Perhaps from now on I may just do a Throwback Thursday from time to time! I still love using my retired products as you can see from today’s blog!
By the way, I’m more of a Hobbyist and I love crafting with Stampin’ Up! products so therefore I’m a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Oh and I love getting discounts on my products! I also love crafting with others and sharing what I’ve learned over the past years. I’ve been a demonstrator since March 2011.
