Due to a glitch, there were some customers that were unable to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin’s Hope Box between July 31 to August 5. As always, Stampin’ Up! has a way of making things right! I had my FIRST Creating with Kits! event this past Thursday and we all made Shelli’s Hope Box. A little back history, Shelli Gardner cofounded Stampin’ Up back in 1988. She was the CEO but her daughter, Sara, took over as CEO a few years ago . . . which by the way, she is doing a great job! I love Sara! Shelli is still a Board Member and we love seeing her still involved with her company!
Back to the Hope Box . . I LOVE IT! It’s so cute but more than that is the message that each card conveys to the receiver. I don’t know about you but I feel that we all need FAITH and HOPE in life to be able to live it in JOY! At my event, I shared my kit with Cindy D. who came to see what my Creating with Kits! was all about. As I made one of each card, I had her make two of each card. I call that hands on learning and she was thrilled with her cards! She had NEVER made a card. I demonstrated each card along with tips and tricks on how to do things. I do believe that I have a new card maker in the making! WooHoo!

Before attending my Creating with Kits! event, Judy W. told me this was one of her favorite Paper Pumpkin Kits. My pictures don’t do my cards justices! I forgot to pop the words Hope and Tomorrow on the second card with the dimensionals provided. It’s handmade so it doesn’t have to be perfect! I had plenty of embellishments left to add more to my cards but sometimes less is more. Be sure to watch the YouTube video that I’ll include later in this post.
