Paper Pumpkin Kits are wonderful for so many reasons! I look forward to it each and every month. I can make the kit as instructed or I can come up with alternate crafty ideas! Let’s look at the September 2023 With Love & Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit. This kit comes with eight treat packages and eight cards and envelopes. I know that I’ll make half the kit as instructed because I need some little gift bags with note cards. I love showing my gratitude to those that make a difference in my life. The other half of the kit I’m going to turn into regular cards to mail to those who don’t live close to me. I’ll add them below with brief descriptions.

Alternate Projects
Paper Pumpkin Kits are a great way to get inspired with other ways to use the crafting pieces included in each kit. As a subscriber you’ll get a newsletter each month that will include LOTS of useful things, which you can read about below! The above cards and bag are alternate project ideas supplied by Paper Pumpkin along with directions in the monthly newsletter. I find this very helpful! Now to show you the alternate cards I designed.
Simply by utilizing some Lost Lagoon cardstock (#133679) for my card would be enough but I went a step further. I embossed the bag paper with the Exposed 3D Embossing Folder (161600), which you don’t have to do. The bag paper has patterned texture already but I wanted to add a bit more texture. The length of this section of the bag, I cut at 5″ long. I added some Gold Sequins (#161627) to finish it off! The Birthday Wishes sentiment is from Sending Smiles Photopolymer Stamp Set (#158701) and is stamped with Lost Lagoon that is included in the Paper Pumpkin Kit.
For this one I added a bow using Linen Thread (#104199) but kept the tails behind the sentiment label. You could add some Gold Sequins to this one as well but I kept it simple.
I love how this one turned out! By using one of the envelopes, I have a patterned paper panel. I added a back panel of Cajun Craze cardstock (#119684) cut at 4″ x 4″. Stamp two pumpkins with the pumpkin stamp provided in the Paper Pumpkin Kit. Use Stampin’ Pads Cajun Craze (#147085) and Pumpkin Pie (#147086) and stamp onto Basic White cardstock (#159276). Fuzzy cut them and pop up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The branches are die cut using Cheerful Daisies Dies (#161296) from Cajun Craze and Lost Lagoon cardstock. The ‘happy birthday’ sentiment is from a previous Paper Pumpkin Kit. I’m thinking about applying some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the pumpkins! It’s a thought! LOL!
