Lots of Joy with FMS212

It’s time for another card challenge at Freshly Made Sketches! This is a layout sketch by Narelle who is part of theĀ “Clean Team”. I kept my card pretty clean! I hope you can tell that I trimmed my “plaid” tree and gave it a base mount on Crumb Cake cardstock.Ā I started to add some embellishments but I want you to know that you don’t need A LOT to make a nice card to give to someone. It may seem that I have a lot of supplies listed but be sure to read my post so you’ll know that you DON’TĀ need everything that I used to make my card. Although I would love for you to buy it all, and buy it from me . . . I mainly want to know that you, too, can enjoy making cards without spending a lot. It takes time to build your supplies and tools. I hope you like my Christmas card! It’s nothing flashy but it’s just one more way I can get more use from the Merry Moments DSPĀ that I have on hand. šŸ™‚

Please excuse the tinting you see on one side of my photo! I must get better about taking my photos as well as have a better way or place to take my photos. I’m new to all this so please bear with me!

Here is the layout sketch by Freshly Made Sketches . . .

I realize that a my card isn’t exactly like the sketch but it did provide me with a starting place for my creativity. I like to try to keep true to the sketch but it just didn’t work out that way.

If you go back and look at my posts on September 21 and October 5, you’ll see that I’ve used Lots of Joy Stamp Set and the Merry Moments DSP once before AND both with FMS sketches! You could also use the Merry Christmas sentiment from that set but I chose to use a sentiment from the Versatile Christmas Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog. Also notice thatĀ the Tree Punch coordinates with the Lots of Joy Stamp Set! LOVE IT! šŸ™‚

Here are my previous cards . . .

FYI: Although I used the Squares Collection Framelits Die along with my Big Shot, you can cut the square pieces yourself.

  1. I love your mix of stamped trees and trees on the paper. The big trees seem to fade off into a the forest on the paper! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
