Creating with Stampin’ Up! products couldn’t be any easier due to all the coordinating products to choose from! My card today is using all retired items and my sentiment stamps are from a Paper Pumpkin Kit. Use whatever supplies you have on hand to recreate something similar to my card design using my card layout for your inspiration. Having a card layout is a great beginning point when creating.
Speaking of beginnings, today is my 39th Wedding Anniversary to my wonderful HUBBY!! I won’t go into great detail but our beginnings was a whirlwind! We only knew each other for about 3 weeks when we got married! Talk about learning about each other as time went on! LOL! My HUBBY is an amazing man and he’s my world! Love you Babe!
Card Measurements & Details
- Very Vanilla CS card base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ | scored at 4-1/4″Â
- Patterned Paper: 3 @ 2″ x 2″Â
- Very Vanilla CS: stamped sentiment labels
- Embellishment: Wooden Tree from March 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit
I reached back into my patterned paper stash and pulled out my Adventure Bound DSP. It’s from the JAN-JUN 2015 Occasions Catalog. I love the manly patterns and colors. It’s hard to tell but the bottom square has a wood pattern, which I also used a strip on the inside of my card. Using Multipurpose Glue, adhere the squares to the card base. Depending on what your patterned paper, you may want to have a solid front panel as well: cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
The tree is actually a wooden die cut and I used Glue Dots to adhere it to my card front. I used a retired Heart to Heart Punch that has a trio of different sized hearts and punched out coordinating hearts from the same patterned paper you see on the right side. The hearts are attached with Glue Dots as well.
I used sentiment stamps from the May 2018 Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Kit. Having all the different stamps I’ve collected over the past years by being a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber ensures that I’ll find something to use! I used retired Early Espresso Embossing Powder for my stamped sentiments. I “fussy cut” around the sentiment labels and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
TIP: If you don’t have the colored embossing powder, do this . . . stamp your sentiment with your choice of Stampin’ Up!’s Classic Stampin’ Pads, then stamp again using VersaMark (I use a stamping tool for precise stamping!). Use Clear Embossing Powder and then heat with a Heat Tool.
The “I Love You” is also from the same Paper Pumpkin Kit but the “you’re the love of my life” is from another company. I added a larger punched heart from the Heart to Heart Punch (retired) and coordinating woodgrain patterned paper . Once again, use what you have on hand or shop my Online Store for other products to use!
