Card Sketch #4 | One Layout – Multiple Cards

It all starts with a card layout, patterned paper, stamp(s), ink and some ribbon/twine to get started crafting! If you haven’t heard, I started a Monday’s Muse theme in my private facebook group, So Inking Sweet Community Sharing Sweet Creations. I’d love for you to join my new community of crafters, click HERE to send me an invite to join! For Card Sketch #4, I made multiple cards. Some are very basic without any thing extra, some I added some twine and/or embellishments, and others I added a die cut and embellishments.

Speaking of . . . the two cards in the main image above are really basic. I added some coordinating twine to add a little something more to it. The one on the left is made with Real Red cardstock and the other is Cherry Cobbler. Moving onto this weeks sketch.

Getting Started

I love the nostalgia of this beautiful Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper! Basic Card Layout

I love this Pretty Peacock card base with this DSP! With this kind of layout, you can let your patterned paper be the focal point of your card. There is nothing added to this card. It’s very basic but very nice, in my opinion.

I used the Greetings of the Season Photopolymer Stamp Set (Online Exclusive) for the sentiment on the outside as well as on the inside. This stamp set has a coordinating die set, Greetings of the Season Dies! I did not know that until just now, also an Online Exclusive. You can buy them separately or buy both as a bundle and save 10%.

Stepped Up Layout

The Poppy Parade card base really makes this card POP! I added several Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add some SPARKLE! Who doesn’t love rhinestones? Who doesn’t love jewels? EVERYONE loves them! PLUS these are classic favorites for projects.

Avid Layout

For my avid cards, I have Basic White and Basic Beige card bases. See other card below. Cut the solid Poppy Parade and Real Red at the 3-1/2″ x 5″ and cut the patterned paper at 3-3/8″ x 4-3/4″. I die cut coordinating stamped bows from the Sentimental Wishes Bundle which also comes in the Sentimental Christmas Suite Collection (see these in the Product Table). I used scrap cardstock large enough to stamp the bows and then die cut them. The bows really adds a special touch and I couldn’t resist adding one of the smallest rhinestones from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add some sparkle.

I had to include a close up of the bow! See that rhinestone sparkling! It’s the little things that can add that special touch.

Basic Beige is a new product in this current Annual Catalog. Since this patterned paper is nostalgic, I though Basic Beige would be a nice card base. It’s also one of the coordinating colors in this Sentimental Christmas DSP pack. This makes me think of years gone by when things were much simpler!

I forgot to mention that I primarily used Memento Tuxedo Black when stamping but you’ll see I also used Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad on one of the avid cards. I also forgot to include them in the Product Table, click on the product names to view them.
