I’m showcasing Fall For Toile Paper Pumpkin Alternatives today. I absolutely LOVE getting my Paper Pumpkin kits every month! I can make the projects as intended or I can change things up. For instance, my card above was done by using the plaid card base and splitting another one in half to make the front panel. It’s cut down to 3-5/8″ x 4-3/8″. I arranged the die-cuts as intended and used a preprinted sentiment label in Early Expresso from an earlier Paper Pumpkin kit. Or you can make your own!
For this card, I used Pecan Pie card stock as my card base. I used the three leaf stamps (included in the kit) and VersaMark ink to stamp around the edges. Using the other half of the card base from the main card above, I cut it down to the same size. I used the Simply Said Photopolymer Stamp Set for the sentiment and stamped it in Early Expresso ink and the leaves in Pecan Pie ink. I think this makes for a masculine birthday card!
Alternative Cards | Toile Card Base Panels
I LOVE this toile pattern! This card base has been cut in half and cut it down to 4″ x 5-1/4″. I simply changed the card base by using Early Expresso and Cajun Craze card stock. Using Basic Beige card stock, I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink and cut it down to 2″ x 3/8″ and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals (included in kit). The sentiment is from The Right Words Cling Stamp Set.
I didn’t take a picture but the inside panel is Basic Beige as well and cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″. The inside sentiment is also from the same stamp set and states: TO SOMEONE WORTH CELEBRATING EVERY SINGLE DAY! I could’ve added some embellishments but I didn’t think the cards needed any. By the way, I’ve included the Neutrals 8-1/2″ x 11″ card stock in the Product Table to show that you can get 20 sheets: two sheets of each color in when you order card stock by color family. The Neutrals color family has both Pecan Pie and Early Expresso card stock.
Alternative Cards | Plaid Card Base Panels
For the cards above, I used one of the original card bases with the linen look for a card base and Basic Beige for the other one. I cut the plaid card base in half and cut both panels down to 4″ x 5-1/4″. I used the Simply Said Photopolymer Stamp Set for the sentiments and both are stamped in Cajun craze. The Basic Beige sentiment label is cut about the same size as the sentiment label included in the kit. Both are popped up with dimensionals.
By the way, I’m a Texan that has been living in Southern Illinois since May 12, 2008. I live amongst corn fields and foxes. Actually I live secluded in the woods surrounded by corn fields! This card may not be for everyone, but I know who will be getting these two cards! My husband and all his family are from Illinois. I just happened to meet him in my home state of Texas back in 1986 and married the same year. Just a little personal info there! LOL!
