I choose some HAPPY colors for my card: Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Blueberry Bushel, and Granny Apple Green ink pads. This is really a FUN and SIMPLE card.
My inspiration is from this graphic I saw this past Sunday while watching the news. I immediately thought of the NEW Blooming Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set (Online Exclusive | OE). I needed the perfect sentiment to use on the card front. I’m so thankful the With You In Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set carried over from this past JAN-APR 2025 Mini Catalog into the NEW 2025-2026 Annual Catalog. It’s perfect! Speaking of carry overs, I used the Perennial Postage Dies to die cut the front panel.
Step-By-Step Instructions
Step #1 – Cut cardstock and die cut front panel
Step #2 – Stamp the sentiment, Happy Birthday, in Blueberry Bushel in the middle of the front panel that has been die cut. NOTE: I normally always use a stamping tool when creating for precise stamping.
Step #3 – Stamp the floral trio in Blueberry Bushel, 3x’s
Step #4 – Stamp 6 stems using Granny Apple Green. Use one of the shorter sentiments from the Blooming Phrases. Notice above how I’ve positioned the stem over my ink pad to ONLY ink up that portion of the stamp. SIMPLE!
Step #5 – Stamp your flowers in Melon Mambo and Calypso Coral. BTW, you could reverse steps 4 and 5.
Step #6 – Finish out the stems by stamping the leaves onto the stems.
Step #7 – Pop up the front panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the side-folded card base.
Step #8 – Stamp the inside sentiment, Best Wishes, on the inside panel and add some flowers and adhere to the card base with Multipurpose Glue or your choice of adhesive.
Did anyone NOTICE the mistake I have on the front of my card? If not, look at the Calypso Coral flowers and compare it to the inside flower. Yep! I have my flowers stamped wrong on the front! Goes to show you, I’m not perfect! LOL!
