No one ever really enjoys having to make one of these types of cards but one must when it’s needed. This will be a quick post and I know, it’s been a LONG TIME since I’ve posted anything here on my blog. I’m here now and ready to share a lovely card using the Sale-A-Bration Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set. I hate to admit that I struggled at first because it’s been such long time since I’ve made a card(s) that I wasn’t sure how to go about what I had in my mind. Then a light bulb went off and I grabbed my ink daubers. That is how I managed to get the Crumb Cake and Night of Navy colors in my floral image. I also layered the 1/2″ Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon on top of the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon for a layered and flat look. The top layer that I stamped the floral image onto is from Stampin’ Up!’s Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. I totally love that stack of woodsy papers!
In addition to needing to make a sympathy card, I’m participating in a NEW card challenge called Festive Friday Challenge. Be sure to check it out and join in by participating!

If you love the Heartfelt Blooms (Wood Block #147197 Clear Mount #147202), you can get it for FREE with a $50 product purchase (before shipping/tax)! Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st so time is running out.
I’m so glad you’re back Tonya. It’s a darling card. Did you use the sponge daubers right on the stamp? I love how it turned out. Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday. I hope you join us again next week!
Blessings,
Beth 🙂
Thank you Beth! I did resort to using my ink daubers. I just didn’t like having the floral image being one color. I LOVE my ink daubers!! My card is so much prettier in person. I was having trouble getting a great photo shot but I was racing the clock to make the challenge. LOL! I’m looking forward to the next challenge!
I am with Beth, glad to see you back! I am assuming that you used the sponge daubers on the stamp too. I really like how it turned out. That ribbon combination is fantastic-I love the burlap and gingham on top. Wonderful and it looks so grand with the wood-look paper. So glad you are back posting and posting a great card to boot!
Hi Chris! I’m so happy to see you here commenting on my blog! I just ran across one of your cards recently that you had sent me a LONG time ago and was wondering how you were doing! Yes, I used my sponge daubers. Those are such great little inking tools! I wanted to use both ribbons and I wanted it to be flat for mailing so I just layered them. It worked out great. Have a Blessed Day Chris! 🙂
