This Happy Birthday To A Fabulous Friend card is so easy to make! I used a POTM (Product of the Month) and a Memories & More Card Pack to make this birthday card. I love the florals and butterflies, not to mention the soft hues of colors. Plus I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready for some springtime weather!
Card Details
To make this card, I used January’s POTM Fabulous Sayings Photopolymer Stamp Set and Days Like This Memories & More Card Pack. Minimal supplies were used to show that you don’t need it all to get started in your own stampin’ journey! Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad, I stamped the sentiment onto the floral pattern card after I had cut the size down from 4″ x 6″ to 5-1/4″ x 4″. See my TIP below when cutting this floral card!
There were several colors I could’ve used but I settled on Pool Party cardstock for the card base. Using an 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock, cut it at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and then score at 4-1/4″ for the fold line. Adhere the stamped floral card onto the card base using either Multipurpose Liquid Glue (my go to) or Stampin’ Seal. And done!! EASY PEASY!
TIP:
When cutting patterned cardstock or a card from a card pack, as in this case . . . be sure to take notice of what you want to show on your project. I cut 1/8″ off from the right side before cutting off 5/8″ from the left side. I wanted to make sure that I got all of that little butterfly on the left side.
Step It Up
I like to add a little something extra special to step my cards up and it’s so easy to do! In this case, I added some embellishments. I love the Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots! You get 8 colors in this pack, 10 of each color and in 2 sizes. the colors include: Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, and Pool Party. I used Flirty Flamingo. Just adding a little something extra can really make a card even more special!
